Day 1 Full Day: Cusco – Pacchanta – 7 Lakes Circuit – Cusco

Your Ausangate 7 Lakes adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 AM. You will travel south for approximately 3.5 hours to the Andean village of Pacchanta (4,200 m), where you will meet your guide and prepare for the hike. The trekking circuit takes around 5 hours and follows a moderate route through breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, you will visit the seven lagoons: Pucacocha (reddish lagoon), Patacocha (crystal-clear waters), Alqacocha (reddish tones), Qomercocha (turquoise lagoon), Orco Otorongo (jaguar-colored waters), China Otorongo (greenish lagoon), and Azulcocha (deep blue lagoon). During the hike, you will also encounter local wildlife such as alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, Andean geese, and birds of prey. After completing the circuit, return to Pacchanta where you can optionally relax in the hot springs before enjoying a traditional Andean lunch. Finally, return to Cusco in the afternoon.
