Day 1 Full Day: Cusco – Sicuani – Layo – Pallay Punchu – Cusco

Your Pallay Punchu adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. You will travel south through beautiful Andean landscapes, passing traditional villages and observing llamas and alpacas along the way. After approximately 3 hours, you will arrive near Sicuani or surrounding areas where you will enjoy a breakfast to recharge energy. After breakfast, continue toward the Layo area, located near the impressive Langui-Layo Lake, one of the largest lakes in Cusco. From here, begin your hike to Pallay Punchu Mountain, which takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours uphill. Along the route, enjoy incredible high-altitude scenery, fresh mountain air, and views of the Andes. Upon reaching the viewpoint, you will witness the spectacular colorful ridges of Pallay Punchu, with red, ochre, and green tones forming a unique natural landscape. You will have time to rest, take photos, and learn about the geological formation of the mountain from your guide. After exploring, descend back to the starting point and head to a local restaurant for a well-deserved lunch. Finally, return to Cusco, arriving between 6:30 and 7:00 PM.
