Machu Picchu Excursion 2 Days by Train

Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco around 7:00 AM. Transfer to Wanchaq station where you will board the bimodal service (bus + train) to Ollantaytambo. From there, take the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying spectacular views of the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival, an assistant will escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore Aguas Calientes, visit the hot springs, Mandor Gardens, or local attractions. In the evening, you will receive a briefing from your guide about the next day.

After breakfast at your hotel, walk with your guide to the bus station and take the Consettur bus to Machu Picchu (30 minutes). Upon arrival, enter the citadel and enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours through Circuit 2, visiting the most important sites such as the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, and Sacred Plaza. After the tour, you will have free time to take photos or explore more areas. Optionally, you can enjoy a buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge (not included). Then return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. Finally, return to Cusco by bimodal service, arriving around 9:00 PM.
