Your Rainbow Mountain adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. You will travel for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to Cusipata, where you will enjoy a nutritious breakfast. After breakfast, continue driving for about 1 hour to Phullawasipata, the starting point of the hike located at approximately 4,600 meters. From here, begin your ascent to Rainbow Mountain, which takes around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of snow-capped mountains, high-Andean landscapes, and local communities dressed in traditional clothing, as well as llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat. Once you reach the viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain at over 5,000 meters, you will have time to take photos and enjoy the scenery. You will also have views of Ausangate, one of the highest mountains in Peru. Afterward, descend back to the trailhead and return to Cusipata for a buffet lunch. Finally, return to Cusco, arriving around 5:30 PM.
